We understand that booking a day out for you and your friends or colleagues can feel like a huge responsibility, so we have put together a list of answers to some of the most common frequently asked questions to help give you that peace of mind. You can trust us to work hard at providing you and your friends/colleagues, the best experience possible.
You are welcome to bring a small amount of alcohol (1-2 standard drinks per person maximum) to have a celebratory glass (plastic cup or cans only, no glassware allowed) at the start of the day.
All wineries and venues visited on your tour are legally required to abide by Responsible Service of Alcohol and may refuse service to those showing signs of intoxication.
Alcohol purchased elsewhere, due to the wineries and venues liquor license must under no circumstances be taken off the vehicle and consumed at the wineries. Failure to comply with this will be deemed a breach of passenger conduct and in breach of liquor license laws.
Additionally, Kenny Escapes encourages you to support local businesses by purchasing their products.
It is each individual’s responsibility to abide by state and federal laws and also carry proof of age identification.
Failure to abide by Kenny Escapes Liquor and Alcohol Policy will result in termination of the tour without a refund.
Disruptive behavior or excessive intoxication will not be tolerated and your driver has the authority at any time to terminate your tour. If your tour is terminated due to disruptive behaviour or excessive intoxication whether at any of the venues visited or on the bus, you will not be entitled to a refund or compensation of any kind.
Kenny Escapes is not liable if you are refused service at any of the venues visited. If you are refused service your tour will be immediately terminated and you will taken to the drop off location nominated on your booking form if it is safe to do so or a suitable venue in which the tour organiser and driver agree upon in consultation with Kenny Escapes Management.
Threatening behaviour or violence of any kind towards the driver or staff at any of the venues will be considered a criminal act. Your tour will be immediately cancelled without refund or compensation, you will be immediately ejected from the vehicle and/or driven to the nearest police station.
We want you to have a great time! Our tours are a lot of fun, but please keep in mind that they are not intended to be a pub crawl and whilst we do really love wine, we do not condone excessive or binge drinking.
It is the responsibility of the tour’s main contact i.e. the person booking the tour to inform all of their guests about their rights and responsibilities when on a Kenny Escapes Tour.
Please refer to the information provided for each individual tour in regards to minimum numbers required. Whilst each vehicle size varies, there is no real maximum number on a Kenny Escapes Tour as we have access to a large range of vehicle sizes including 57 seater coaches, however groups of 30 or more people require specialised itineraries as not all venues can accommodate groups this large.
Yes, absolutely! Kenny Escapes are flexible with our tour schedules and will work with you to create an itinerary that suits your groups needs. Please keep in mind however that Kenny Escapes reserves the right to change the itinerary at any time due to venue availability and scheduling conflicts, we will however endeavor to communicate with you all significant changes made at our earliest convenience but are not liable for any changes and are not required to offer any refunds as a result of any change.
Yes you can and we encourage you to do so. Whilst there will be plenty of food and access to water throughout the day we encourage you to bring some treats and water with you to enjoy on the bus.
Please note that Kenny Escapes is proud to practice and promote sustainable business strategies and in doing so we do not supply disposable plastic water bottles to our guests on our private charter tours. We ask that you coordinate with your guests to each bring with you your own reusable water bottles to refill throughout the day. Your tour host will direct you to the water stations at each venue you visit on your tour.
For Join A Tours i.e. where smaller groups of less than 10 pax are joining up with other guests
Tickets must be paid in full at the time of purchase and are non-refunable and non-transferable.
For private charter tours i.e. more than 10 pax:
Holding deposits of $50 per person are non-refundable.
If you would like to change the date of your booking after confirmation has been submitted, a $50 booking date transfer fee will be charged.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR BOOKING DATE CAREFULLY.
Please note that your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.
Payments in full are required to be made 10 days prior to your tour date.
A booking where tour participants cancel or numbers decrease in the 10 days prior to the tour date will not be refunded.
Bookings, where tour participant numbers increase in the 10 days prior to the tour date, need to contact Kenny Escapes immediately to guarantee seating availability and arrange payment.
You will be liable for a $250 cleaning fee if due to your behaviour or actions you cause damage to the vehicle or venues.
All guests must be over 18 years of age, unless otherwise arranged with your tour coordinator prior to booking. Children are welcome on our tours with prior approval.
All tours have a minimum number requirement. It is the person booking this tour’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of the minimum number of passengers required to book their chosen tour.
Please use the Book Online Today button at the top of the website. When submitting the online booking form, you will also need to process your $50 per person deposit for a private charter or pay in full for a Join a Tour.
Yes, anything is possible! If multiple pickup or drop off locations are required which result in extending the duration of your tour there may be additional charges, however this can be discussed at the time of booking.
Yes, however if this is not organised prior to the tour departure date the driver has every right to decline extending the tour. If he/she has no other commitments and agrees to extend your tour an amount of $65 per hour is due, payable directly to the driver.
Yes, depending on the child’s age we can look into offering a reduced priced childrens meal and removing any wine tasting fees off the total price. If the child needs a special car seat for the vehicle it is the parent/carers responsibility to bring their own car seat and install it in the vehicle.
Please give Kenny Escapes notice as to any children joining a tour so we can ensure our vehicles have the relevant safety measures.
We can offer a small discount to any non-drinkers/pregnant people on our tour. Kenny Escapes pays each winery a wine tasting fee which can be deducted off the full price if this person/s would like to only observe each tasting. Any alcoholic drink offered at lunch can also be exchanged for a coffee or soft drink.
In most weather conditions the tour will proceed and you will still have a great time! Many of the venues are well equipped for wet weather contingencies and we will always do our absolute best to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Most venues have cosy fire places to keep you warm in winter, all you’ll need to do is bring your umbrella.
In extreme heat conditions, please ensure you drink more water than you would usually. In the event of a natural disaster and when travelling on the roads would be unsafe, your tour will be postponed and rescheduled for a date mutually agreed upon within 6 months of your tour date.
If re-scheduling is not able to be arranged, Kenny Escapes will refund 50% of your tour payment and provide you will a voucher to the remaining value of 50% to use at a later date, valid for 12 months. (Please keep in mind that we have never had to cancel a tour!)
We only expect an ‘estimate’ of your number of people at the time of the initial booking and give you up until 10 days before the tour date to confirm exact numbers.
We understand that things can change in the lead up to a tour and try hard to give you flexibility.
Please note however that if you are booking for less than 10 people, you may be joined up with other guests.
We ask that any last minute additions to your group contact us directly to arrange payment as we need to firstly ensure there is availability on the vehicle and then inform the wineries/venues as to any changes.
Our restaurants are well equipped to handle most dietary needs. Please notify us as soon as you are aware of any dietary requirements and we offer alternative options for your guest/s.
We work with you and your guests in the lead up to your tour to ensure all guests are satisfied with their meal choices.
Kenny Escapes is very conscious of providing suitable sized meals for our customers, understanding that you are drinking alcohol throughout the day. Under most circumstances we will not remove lunch from a full day tour.
If a suitable alternative lunch option is being requested, we will do our best to accommodate you, but our priority is to always ensure customers are enjoying a day with food and wine being equally balanced.
